2013 Best of San Diego 4 Years in a Row

Therapy Specialists has been recognized for the fourth year in a row as one of the 2013 Best Places to Work in San Diego. This countywide survey and awards program recognizes local businesses for outstanding corporate culture, company benefits, and employee satisfaction.
One hundred companies from across the county entered the two-part survey process to determine the best places to work. What makes this award even more special is that 75% of the score is derived from a confidential employee survey evaluating an employee’s workplace satisfaction in eight core areas: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall engagement. These are the areas in which we strive to provide the best solutions, resources and values-driven approach in working with our employees, day in and day out. The other 25% of our score comes from an assessment evaluating company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.
Employee satisfaction plays a key role in our ability to recruit and retain happy and high-quality therapists and employees that share our mission and values. Our ability to be successful in these efforts ensures that our rehabilitation programs are staffed with skilled, compassionate, and dedicated individuals working together to provide quality, outcome-driven solutions for both our patients and business customers. It is our model that has served us well through an ever-changing healthcare market for 37 years.
“This achievement is remarkable in so many ways,” said Susan J. Harris, Founder of Therapy Specialists. “So often, in a time of change, members of an organization act on their fear and apprehension. The unknown brings up fear in all of us. Operating on reduced revenue and increased regulation is not what any of us look forward to. But, with the hearts and minds of our staff, engaged in our mission, we think we can mount the challenges and succeed for our patients, our business customers, and ourselves. And it is heartwarming that all of our staff think, as an organization, that we can work together to find solutions.”
It is each and every one of you that help to contribute to the overall culture at Therapy Specialists; we would not be the organization we are, or a best place to work, if it weren’t for you!
Congratulations Therapy Specialists!
